Choosing the right college for you

The school year is coming to an end and graduation is around the corner! If you have not decided on which college to attend now is the time to be doing so! There are many things to consider when choosing the college you will attend because hey, your going to be there for the next two or four years or so! You do not want to make the wrong decision and end up at a college that is wrong for you! That means wasted money, possibly lost scholarships, and then you have to start the college choosing all over again!  So here are some things to consider!

1. Size- Do you want to go to a large school, a medium sized school or a small one?
2. Location- You prefer big city, small city, or a nice small town?
3. Cost- Can you afford the tuition, room and board and all other expenses for the 2-4 years you will be there? Do not choose one that after the third or second year you can not afford and have to leave.. Then you've lost your money and all that you did there..
4.Degrees and majors- Sure it may be in the town you want, the size you want, with your friends, but do they have the major you want? If you can not do what you want to do there and are changing your career choice to make friends happy or to be in a certain town you won't be happy probably. Make sure the major you follow is the one you want to make a career of one day!
5. Do they have the athletics program you want? This is not too important and can also tie into the degree/major area but if you really want to play football, soccer, softball/baseball, or do equine in college and that is something you do not want to give up check for the program at the college and then see if it is a good one!
6. Learning facilities- Does the college have all the up to date equipment for your major choice? Do they have the appropriate Dr's/teachers to teach it? Are the labs,or what ever you need for your degree, acceptable there?
7. Do you see yourself spending the two or four years there on campus or off in a comfortable fashion? Do you like dorm or apartments around there. And back to price- can you afford the living arrangements there? Can you afford to live in the town?
 8. Can you get a part time job in the town?- Not very important if your parents are paying for everything or your scholarships cover it all.. but extra spending money is nice and if you dont have parents money or large scholarships this is very important! You gotta eat and have clothes and shoes and all other necessities of living! So make sure there is not a shortage of jobs and make sure you should be able to get one if needed.

If you feel I left things out that are important make sure to comment!!
